The top ranked team in the College Football Playoff rankings, the Alabama Crimson Tide, is taking on Western Carolina on Saturday in what should be a breather game for them before they take on Auburn next week.
Well, at least it was supposed to be a breather game. Western Carolina, apparently, did not get that memo.
To start the game off in Tuscaloosa on Saturday, Western Carolina drove more than 70 yards down the field and they, well…they took a 7-0 lead over one of the best teams in the nation.

Well now there is something that I’m sure no one really bet on.
I mean, if we wanna bring the transitive argument into this, Texas A&M failed to score a point on Alabama a few weeks ago. So, therefore, Western Carolina has a better offense than A&M, right? That’s how this works.
In all seriousness, more than likely this game will end up being a complete slaughtering, but hey, kudos to Western Carolina for not rolling over and playing dead.
