The Yale Bulldogs are playing the Harvard Crimson in a key college football game this weekend. This also marks the 10 year anniversary of a famous prank in a game between these two teams.
The planning was thorough. The plan was elaborate. The message was simple.

“We suck.”
That was the endgame for two Yale students as they pulled off an epic prank in 2004 for the ‘The Game’ between the Yale Bulldogs and Harvard Crimson. Thought out weeks in advance, these two Yale students infiltrated Harvard’s stadium and somehow got enough fanss to participate and willingly hold up signs that spelled out “We suck.”
All these years later, and the story still stands up. There is something endearing in the disconnect between the elaborate scheme, which included the creation of fake Harvard student ID’s and back stories, and the juvenile simplicity of the actual message.
As Yale and Harvard prepared for today’s installment of their football rivalry, folks could not help but relive the classic prank pulled off by two Yale students who had big dreams and apparently way too much time on their hands.

You have to admit it’s impressive.
