Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is appealing a suspension that will keep him out for the remainder of the season. He’s also looking at legal options should his appeal end up unsuccessful.
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson remains on the commissioner’s exempt list as he awaits the final word on his appeal of a suspension that would keep him off the field without pay for the remainder of the season.
It is highly unlikely that Peterson’s suspension will be overturned — considering Roger Goodell, the man who suspended Peterson, is hearing the appeal — and he is ready to explore any and all options if he is kept from returning in 2014.
If Peterson’s appeal is unsuccessful, he will reportedly pursue legal action against the NFL.
From Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network:
#Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has his appeal on Dec. 2. If he loses, he may explore his legal options, seek damages for missing the season

Peterson has every right to attempt to keep his money and fight to return to the field, but considering his despicable actions, the NFL is also right by giving him a serious punishment that reflects the nature of his missteps off the field.
