In the NFL anytime a player misses a game due to injury, especially someone like Thomas, I would suspect be considered serious but not so said Glazer. He said they are going to send x-rays to a specialist in Florida to check it out further but again the Broncos do not seem very concerned. Regardless, he will not play against the Dolphins.
The Broncos will have receiver Emmanuel Sanders though. He was knocked out of last week’s game with a concussion against the St. Louis Rams. He passed his concussion protocol this week though and is expected to play. This is the first home game in four games for the Broncos on Sunday.
The Broncos are a half-game ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs for the AFC West lead. The Chiefs lost on Thursday night to the Oakland Raiders.
It sounds like though barring any setbacks, Thomas won’t miss much time. Thomas leads the Broncos with 12 touchdowns this season. He has 40 receptions for 426 yards so far this season. That is a huge part of the offense missing for quarterback Peyton Manning but as we know, he has plenty of weapons to help him.
