You are out of your dynasty league and are in desperate need of players that you could rebuild around, or gamble to rebuild on. These are all players that greedy owners who are in contention to win now may be willing to deal for older players in order to attempt to win a championship right now. You must realize that it doesn’t matter who wins the league this season, if you are out of it. You have to make the best trades for you, in order to put your team into the winner’s circle next season.

Here are some players that I am targeting in Dynasty Leagues:
Oct 13, 2013; Denver, CO, USA; Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon (14) on the sidelines in the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Broncos defeated the Jaguars 35-19. Mandatory Credit: Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports
Justin Blackmon, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars
Justin Blackmon is currently battling through the NFL drug program after he broke the rules for the third time. Blackmon is currently suspended indefinitely by the NFL, but with their current changes under the new drug policy, it suggests that he could be reinstated after the season ends. However, we cannot deny the talent that Justin Blackmon possesses. Justin Blackmon is a 6-foot-1 210-pound wide receiver that has all the tools to become one of the better wide receivers in this league. However, right now we have no idea if Blackmon will even be in Jacksonville or if he will officially ever play in the NFL again.
Optimal Price: 3rd round rookie draft pick & a conditional 4th rounder (if he is reinstated at the start of 2015 season).
Of course, this would be kind of a gamble because you are giving up possibly a couple of picks for a player that will never again play in the league. However, that is a risk that I will am definitely willing to take for a potential receiver that could be a every week starter for you over the next ten seasons.
Mock Draft: Potential trade
Receive: Justin Blackmon
Trade away: Isaiah Crowell and Bruce Ellington
Nov 16, 2014; Landover, MD, USA; Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III (10) throws the ball against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the second half at FedEx Field. The Buccaneers won 27 – 7. Mandatory Credit: Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports
Robert Griffin III, QB, Washington Redskins
Robert Griffin III needs a complete makeover, according to majority of the people around the NFL. Jay Gruden spoke earlier in the week about his quarterback’s inability to correctly identify which footwork should be used on each route. A lot of people who drafted Robert Griffin III in your rookie draft are losing patience and I think there is a chance that Robert Griffin III is gone at the end of next season. Gruden will take this entire offseason, grooming Robert Griffin III to the way he’d like him to play, which could put Griffin in a perform or leave role. Ultimately, I kind of hope that he gets to move on from Washington and gets the chance to go play in Kansas City with Andy Reid at some point. However, we are at least a couple years away from that, and because of that, RG3 is cheaper than you will ever get him right now.
Optimal Price: 4th Rounder and Andre Johnson (or a player like)
This is a trade that I actually have recently made in one of my dynasty leagues. I’m buying into Griffin’s stock at the price that it is currently at. The Griffin owner in my league was clearly frustrated with what he saw last week, and I actually wasn’t. Although Griffin didn’t look good last week, I did see some qualities of his game that I actually liked. He isn’t going to be a read-option guy ever again, but he does have the arm strength and he has tremendous downfield touch. It’s clear that his footwork needs work. The ball has to come out quicker and he has to recognize coverage’s more quickly, which he is not currently doing.
Mock Draft: Potential trade:
Receive: Robert Griffin III
Trade Away: Jimmy Garoppolo and Andre Johnson
Nov 16, 2014; Chicago, IL, USA; Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (84) makes a catch against Chicago Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller (23) during the fourth quarter at Soldier Field. Chicago Bears defeat the Minnesota Vikings 21-13. Mandatory Credit: Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports
Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Minnesota Vikings
Say what you would like to about Patterson, but he is still one of my favorite receivers to watch on film. The stats don’t tell the entire story. More often than not, he’s open. If he’s open then what is the issue? If you look at film, you see Teddy Bridgewater either misses him or does not have the confidence in his deep throw accuracy to make the throws necessary to get him the football. Expect the Vikings to get Teddy Bridgewater more protection in the offseason, which could lead to more favorable conditions for Patterson in the future.
Optimal Price: 4th Rounder
A fourth round rookie draft pick is the draft pick that you’d like to spend to acquire Patterson. However, I don’t believe that you will be able to make that trade. There is a chance that you may be able to swing the deal if the owner of Patterson is beyond frustrated, but ultimately I believe you’d have to give up at least a third rounder to acquire Patterson. I think with a reliable running game, that Patterson will rise to the great talent we saw at the end of last season.
Mock Draft: Potential Trade
Receive: Cordarrelle Patterson
Trade Away: Jerick McKinnon
