Many people were hoping for a strong performance by Pacquiao — because that could get the boxing world one step closer to the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight that everyone has been dying to see — but there was some concern that Algieri would be too big and strong.
That wasn’t the case.
In fact, the biggest difference in the fight was Pacquiao’s speed as he was able to easily handle and dominate Algieri from the opening bell.
Manny Pacquiao earned the unanimous decision win in impressive fashion and now we will have to see what the next step in his career will be.
For those who missed out on the action on last night’s HBO pay-per-view, we have got you covered.
