Rams vs. Chargers Final Score: San Diego Holds Off St. Louis, 27-24
By Josh Hill
The San Diego Chargers were at one point putting pressure on the Denver Broncos in the AFC West, but that has all changed with the Rams surging in the AFC West.
There was one point in time when the San Diego Chargers looked like they might put pressure on the Denver Broncos in the West and maybe take over in first place. That has all changed though with the Kansas City Chiefs looking at one of the final playoff spots at the moment with San Diego on the outside looking in.

St. Louis is a team that won’t be going to the playoffs this year but they have some huge wins under their belt this season and that’s huge for their future. Jeff Fisher’s job was being called into question at points during this season but wins over the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers all bode well for his future.
He wasn’t able to coach the Rams to a win on Sunday though, despite making things very close. While it was a near win for a scrappy Rams team, the win was bigger for the Chargers who needed it to stay alive in the postseason hunt. The Chargers are still out of the playoff picture — along with the Cleveland Browns — but winning on Sunday truly helped them out.
San Diego is now 7-4 in the AFC but are still sitting behind the Broncos and Chiefs in the West which means San Diego can only win and hope that things start to change.
