The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are taking on the Chicago Bears on Sunday in Soldier Field. There was a weird scoreboard error along the ticker at the bottom of the screen that gave the Bucs a 1-0 lead over the Bears.
Of course the only way an NFL team can get a single point in a game is from an extra point, which would require you to score six points first.
They weren’t the only one to get it wrong, the ESPN website also gave the Bucs a single point against the Bears.
Makes you wonder what is going on for the score to be wrong in both places. ESPN isn’t airing the game, so it wasn’t strictly an ESPN mistake, nor was it strictly a FOX mistake. So unfortunately if you’re seeing that score passed around something incredible didn’t happen.
It looks like someone was trying to put in the touchdown scored by Mike Evans and forgot to add the other six points. We have proof the Buccaneers scored too in case you don’t believe it.
