For the better part of the past 48 hours, all of the focus as it pertains to Survivor Series on Sunday night has had to do with the impending debut of Sting. Well to get you riled up about it even more, there is now some confirmation that he is indeed backstage in St. Louis.
According to the most recent report from PWInsider via WrestleZone, the legend himself, Sting, is backstage at the Scottrade Center, among the other names that are rumored to be appearing in some fashion on Sunday night.
"Sting was flown in privately to avoid being spotted by fans at the airport, and has been kept under wraps. Apparently the decision to bring him in for Survivor Series was made at the last minute, as he was doing promotional work for WWE 2K15 earlier this week and did not know at the time that he would be in St. Louis this weekend. As WWE has made no official announcement, Sting being on the show is less of an attempt to increase PPV buys, and more to show off the WWE Network as tonight’s “free” viewing audience is expected to be much higher than usual."
The reality is really beginning to set in with a lot of fans, especially as you read this, that Sunday night will be the night that we never thought we would see–Sting stepping into a WWE ring.
