The Dallas Cowboys were on the road taking on the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football. New York rapper Jay Z was on hand for the game and was seen talking to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones before the game.
Not normally this wouldn’t be given any extra attention or thought, but with Jay Z founding Roc Nation Sports and representing players, including Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, it ups the intrigue. Bryant is playing in the final year of his rookie contract and seeking a long-term deal.
Fans everywhere are probably wondering what they were talking about and hoping it was that contract, and Jones teased that it was a bout a halftime performance.
“Yeah, I was working on a halftime deal with him for Thanksgiving,” Jones said, via the Dallas Morning News. “No it’s good. He had just been to the stadium and entertained there. He’s outstanding.”
Of course that couldn’t be the case since Pitbull is already scheduled to perform. The trip to the stadium Jones is referring to is when Jay Z and Beyonce’s “On The Run” tour came to AT&T Stadium.
