Halo: The Master Chief Collection has experienced anything but a smooth launch. Sure, the game is absolute mastery, but the online component is still a buggy mess that has 343 Industries working around the clock to make sure the game is fixed. Now a popular playlist is headed back into the action.
After experiencing significant online issues, 343 industries removed and consolidated playlists in Halo: The Master Chief Collection in order to make more players quickly find each other in matchmaking. Based on feedback however, gamers were upset that the rumble playlist was removed from Halo 2: Anniversary in the game.
Calm yourself, 343 says it’s returning. Through Halo Waypoint, they said:
"Based on community feedback we’ve received since yesterday’s update, we are bringing the Halo 2: Anniversary Rumble playlist, which features a variety of FFA game types, back into the matchmaking rotation. Our team continues to work on resolving existing matchmaking issues such as party splitting and uneven teams, and in the meantime, this playlist will offer a mix of game types that are not affected by these known issues. The H2A Rumble playlist will be coming online within the next few hours, and you should see it appear in your playlist lineup shortly. The playlist is currently unranked, but we’ll be bringing ranking online once we’ve ironed out existing matchmaking issues."
A new update went further to say:
"We are running final tests on the Halo 2: Anniversary Rumble playlist, and will be integrating the playlist into the rotation as soon as possible. We’ll provide an update once we’ve pushed the playlist live."
So if it’s not back into the fold already, expect the playlist to return to Halo: The Master Chief Collection in the coming days. Despite the debacle of the online launch, be patient and know this game is more than worth the wait.
