Aaron Rodgers Says He Wasn’t Trolling Vikings With Grape Soda

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going after those that have suggested he trolled the Minnesota Vikings by drinking grape soda Sunday.

NFL fans everywhere thought Aaron Rodgers was taking a shot at the Minnesota Vikings after he was seen drinking grape soda at his postgame interview following his team’s victory over the Vikings Sunday.

However, Rodgers made it clear on Tuesday that such disrespect towards the Vikings was not intended and the quarterback even called out those for suggesting it was.

Rogers told ESPN 1500 that he’s been consuming the drink for quite some time:

"“Seven years. To all the idiot trolls out there, seven years,” Rodgers told Wilde of his postgame routine. “PBJ and Grape or Orange Crush. It’s been grape for the last five, the first couple years it was orange or grape. Seven years.“Anybody who knows, any of the local media or anybody who’s seen me after a game, I’m always carrying that around with me. That’s probably the only soda that I ever drink – right after the game, when you’ve got to get those nutrients back with you. So that’s my post-game (snack) – PBJ and the Grape Crush. I do like it, contrary to anybody who thinks I was trolling anything. It’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s comical."

This is too bad. The idea of Rodgers going after the Vikings by drinking grape soda was awesome. Unfortunately, he doesn’t see it that way.

Rodgers threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns as the Packers beat the Vikings 24-21 Sunday.
