Bo Horvat is given video presentation to welcome him to the Vancouver Canucks
This is simultaneously the most adorable and awesome thing I’ve seen a coach do ever.

To welcome him to the NHL, Vancouver Canucks head coach Willie Desjardins showed prospect Bo Horvat a video presentation he made.
"“It showed, ah… one of my bad clips, and then he ended off with one of my good clips,” said Horvat, when asked about the announcement afterwards. “[He] asked me, you know, which guy I was going to be.”"
Horvat, who — at nineteen — is still eligible for one more year in the OHL, declared that he was going to be the good player.
That was apparently the right choice, since Desjardins used the video presentation — shown to the team after their Tuesday morning skate — to welcome Bo to the Canucks for good this season.
The decision itself may not have been the one everyone expected, but it was no surprise that Desjardins was going to make the announcement some time this week. Per the 2013 CBA, each NHL team only has nine games to decide whether to keep junior-eligible players with the main club, or send them back to the OHL, WHL, or wherever they had played before getting drafted. Once a player skates out in his tenth game, he’s automatically a permanent member of the roster; with eight games under his belt this season, Horvat was going to know his fate sooner rather than later.
The way Desjardins made the announcement, though. The Texas Stars cannot miss him enough.
