Dallas Stars’ John Klingberg Scores From Center Ice (Video)
Dallas Stars rookie d-man John Klingberg scores center-ice goal on Edmonton Oilers
The story of the week in the NHL came Monday, when the Edmonton Oilers fired their goalie coach, Frederic Chabot, and replaced him with WHL Oil Kings‘ Dustin Schwartz.

Most people around the league were kind of baffled by this — because this team needs something new in goal, and it’s not the coach.
Case in point: midway through the first period of Tuesday night’s game between the Oilers and the Dallas Stars, Dallas’ rookie defenseman John Klingberg managed to score a goal.
Impressive, right? Always nice when defensemen get points, and even nicer when it’s in their inaugural season.
Only… he scored it from center ice.
No one can blame Schwartz, who has literally walked straight into a giant vortex of bad puck possession, worse defending, and atrocious goaltending in Edmonton. The team is second to only the Buffalo Sabres at the bottom of the league standings, despite having three first-overall picks out on the ice scoring goals for them.
Someone, go help Edmonton.
(Also, congratulations to Klingberg. It really is a sick goal.)
