The New York Jets benched Michael Vick during last night’s embarassing loss to the Buffalo Bills, but they are unsure of who will start next week’s game.
Earlier this year, the New York Jets benched Geno Smith in favor of Michael Vick against the Buffalo Bills. On Monday night, again against the Buffalo Bills, a Jets quarterback had a disastrous performance and was benched.

This time around, it was Vick who was benched in favor of Smith.
It was an embarassing effort by the New York Jets on Monday night and one of the worst displays of football from a NFL team in recent memory, but the Jets will have no time to waste as they shift their focus to their Week 13 opponent, the Miami Dolphins.
But who will be the team’s starting quarterback? Head coach Rex Ryan is not yet ready to give that answer.
“We’ll address that later,” Ryan said, via Darryl Slater of NJ.com.
“I don’t know yet. We’ll figure it out. I want to see how they look [after evaluating the tape of Monday’s game]. Sometimes, you can have a feel and a sense of it on the field. When you watch the tape, maybe you see a different opinion. We’ll take a look at it and do what we think is best.”
At this point in the season, the Jets just have to find a way to show up on the field and prove that they are not going to just mail it in on the season.
Sure, Rex Ryan may be a sitting duck head coach, but his team should at least rally around him for themselves and the fans.
