We overreact to the NFLā€˜s Week 12 slate

It’s a week before Thanksgiving and all through the league, the real contenders continue to be seen.

Meanwhile, the pretenders and the non-factors throughout the league start to look toward 2015, or should begin to look toward 2015 as they see their season start to fall faster than the crystal ball will at Times Square in just over a month from now.

Three weeks into the books and Oakland has their first (and possibly) only win of 2014 while the Cardinals, trying to go on a Super Bowl run themselves, took a rare loss, falling to the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks in a ā€œBattle of the Birds.ā€

In ā€œThe Big Crapple,ā€ the Giants defense failed (again) to come up when needed, despite a great start by Eli Manning and the Big Blue offense, despite an incredible three-fingered catch by rookie Odell Beckham Jr. and an 11-point halftime lead.Ā  In short, the Giants did typical New York Giants things in the second half.

Also, in case you missed it, Oakland actually won on Thursday night.
