Paul Pierce Signs Autograph In Middle Of Game (Video)
By Sam Richmond
Paul Pierce recently signed an autograph for a fan during a game after he fouled out.
There wasn’t much for Washington Wizards forward Paul Pierce to do with 1:04 remaining in his team’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this week. Pierce had just racked up his sixth foul, relegating him to the bench for the rest of the contest.

So, Pierce decided to make one huge fan’s dream come true by autographing a pair of sneakers.

This video is excellent for many reasons that extend beyond the fact that Pierce is signing shoes during a game.
The overjoyed/stunned facial expression of the fan contrasted with the angered facial expression of Pierce is excellent. It’s worth noting that Pierce’s anger surely stems from him fouling out, but that doesn’t make the visual any less funny.
Give credit to the fan for having the guts to approach Pierce while he was so clearly bothered and Pierce for doing something nice for a fan while he’s in such a state, as this is one of the cooler/funniest NBA moments of the young NBA season.
The Wizards ultimately won the game 111-100, with Pierce leading the team scoring-wise with 25 points.
Washington is 9-3 to start Pierce’s first season with the team. He is averaging 13.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
