Aaron Rodgers: Patriots vs Packers Isn’t Me vs Tom Brady
By Cory Buck
Aaron Rodgers warned that the upcoming game at Lambeau Field between his Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots won’t be simply a quarterback duel.
Believe it or not, the upcoming Week 13 matchup between the visiting New England Patriots and the host Green Bay Packers will be the first time that quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady will meet head-to-head, at least as much as quarterbacks can face each other. Rodgers was quick to denote that as much as people want to hype up the two quarterbacks, the game will rest on the shoulders of all 22 players on the field on every play.

“I have a ton of respect for [the Patriots] in their careers, but again I don’t ever look at it like it’s one quarterback against another,” Rodgers said per ESPN. “It takes 11 every single play to be effective. We play against some great teams in the NFC all the time. They’ve spent their careers in the AFC and that’s kind of the way it’s gone.”
You can hardly blame fans for their excitement. Not only are Rodgers and Brady two of the best quarterbacks in the league, but the Patriots and Packers are two of the best and hottest teams in the NFL. Since both teams started the season at 2-2, they’ve gone a combined 13-1.
Now we’ll get a chance to see one hot streak come to an end in what could be a Super Bowl preview.
Rodgers concluded, “it’s a couple of hot teams coming together, and it will be a great matchup.”
