Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray has no doubt that he can keep up his career-high pace in rushing attempts and rushing yards.

As the Dallas Cowboys continue to romp through the NFL, fans continue to wait for the other shoe to fall. The historically injury-prone DeMarco Murray has avoided injury amid a massive work load and for those waiting for him to slow down or stop due to injury, Murray has a simple message: Don’t hold your breath.

“As the year goes on, you feel better,” Murray said per the Dallas Morning News. “I feel like I’ve gotten stronger throughout the year, so I have to continue to work hard during the week and it’ll show up on Sundays.”

Murray’s durability will be put to the test in the team’s quick turnaround for their divisional game on Thanksgiving against fellow NFC East-leader Philadelphia Eagles. For now, he’s passing with flying colors thanks to a banner season that’s put him on pace for 390 carries for 1,969 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Asked if he felt that pace may falter down the stretch, Murray simply said, “No.” His reasons were as simple as his answer. “Just continue to do what I do,” he said, “work hard and play well on Sunday.”
