One day after Rex Ryan said he was unsure of who his starting quarterback would be, the New York Jets named Geno Smith the Week 13 starter.
Just 24 hours after saying the New York Jets were uncertain of who their starting quarterback would be for Week 13 against the Miami Dolphins, we have learned that it is Geno Smith who is getting the call.

According to Pro Football Talk, Rex Ryan met with Smith and Michael Vick this morning to inform the two quarterbacks of the news.
Smith was benched in favor of Vick against the Buffalo Bills earlier this year.
Interestingly enough, Geno Smith’s return to the starting lineup comes after Vick was benched in favor of Smith against the Bills during their second meeting of the season which came on Sunday afternoon.
The Jets quarterback situation — and the team — is a mess, but at least they know early in the week who will be under center.
Whether the team actually decides to show up this weekend is a different question, but Rex Ryan will have to hope that the Jets are capable of putting together a better effort on the field than they did in Week 12 if he wants to keep his job throughout the end of the year.
