New England Patriots (9-2) at Green Bay Packers (8-3)

What’s at Stake:

Basically, it’s the opportunity to seize control of their respective conferences and the NFL, as a whole.

In recent weeks, the Packers and Patriots have collectively destroyed the NFL. This is the possible preview of the Super Bowl matchup, and it’s going to be a great game with two of the hottest teams in the league squaring off at Lambeau Field.

Breakdown:

The Patriots’ secondary has shut down the Broncos, Colts, and Lions in the last three weeks. That’s remarkable considering each of those teams have some of the best receivers in the game on their teams. Green Bay has the best passing attack out of that bunch, but I don’t know if Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson are good enough to expose Brandon Browner and Darrelle Revis.

That’s what this game is going to come down to, the Packers’ passing offense. Eddie Lacy is going to get his, and the Patriots will get theirs. Tom Brady always does in big games like this one.

How is this game not the game of the weekend? Well… The best rivalry in the NFL is on another day, and the game means much, much more.

Prediction:

New England 34 Green Bay 24
