Fantasy Football: FanDuel Thanksgiving Lineup!

Looking for some helping setting your Thanksgiving lineup, so you can get back to stuffing your face with Turkey? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Let’s get you back to your family and give you a quick poke at my lineup this week.

QB:  Matthew Stafford, v. CHI ($8,300)

Stafford is coming off of two horrible games in a row, but that could be good for us as it will potentially scare away other FanDuel owners. In these small game contests, you have to strive to put up a lot more points considering that everyone is going to share all the same players. I think the Quarterback that everyone is going to want today is Tony Romo. However, the Bears are horrible defensively and I just received word that rookie cornerback Kyle Fuller is going to attempt to play through a knee injury. You better believe that the Lions are going to be picking on him all game long.

I can tell you may be growing frustrated with Matthew Stafford as he has zero games with three touchdowns so far this season and he has three games with zero touchdowns. He’s been disappointing, but at home you’d think they are poised for a big game.

Nov 23, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; San Francisco 49ers running back Carlos Hyde (28) reacts after scoring a touchdown against the Washington Redskins in the fourth quarter at Levi

RB: DeMarco Murray, v. PHI ($9,000)

Murray has been solid all season long, however the last two weeks that I’ve used him, he’s kind of struggled. Sure he’s been over 100-yards in every game except one all season, but the touchdowns haven’t been there. In fact, he has gone four straight games without a touchdown. Well, that’s changing today, as the Eagles have allowed a touchdown to an opposing running back in each of their last three games and four of their last five games. I expect DeMarco Murray to explode this week with 100-yards and two touchdowns. Although, if that happens, it’ll be the first time that the Eagles have allowed multiple touchdowns to a running back in the same game all season.

RB: Carlos Hyde, v. SEA ($4,900)

Part of this is of course that I don’t have the money to upgrade at the position, however, I really like the value on Carlos Hyde right now. Currently, Hyde has only broke out of the single digit Fantasy points in one game this season and it was in first game. However, if you look at how the Niners have played football, you’d realize that this offense will be looking for a spark in the game and I believe Hyde will be that spark for them. Plus, if you look at the numbers, you’d see that Hyde has received more RedZone touches than Frank Gore has. Look for that to continue in this matchup.

WR: Dez Bryant, v. PHI ($8,800)

In his last two Thanksgiving games, Dez has combined for 15 catches on 20 targets for over 200 yards and three touchdowns. Dez Bryant loves to play games like this and with his other receiver, Terrance Williams banged up, look for Romo to go to Dez early and often. Plus the Eagles have allowed multiple touchdowns to opposing wide receivers in four of their last five games. With the Eagles giving up the second most Fantasy Points to opposing wide receivers, expect Dez to have a huge game.

WR: Golden Tate, v. CHI ($7,900)

I’ve told you I always pair one of my receivers with my quarterback and I think this is a Golden Tate game. Remember, when I talked about the Lions picking on rookie Kyle Fuller’s knee injury? Well, I think Tate is going to draw that favorable coverage as Calvin Johnson, should be bracketed by the Bears defense all game long. Although, there is a risk that Tate will not score, ultimately, he’s on pace for an eight catch day and that’s good enough for me.

WR: Doug Baldwin, at SF ($5,900)

Honestly, if you can get your hands on Anquan Boldin today. He’s going to have a monster game. However, with me liking my team, I had to go somewhere so I choose Doug Baldwin. Baldwin has not topped 50-yards receiving in any of his last four games, however, he has topped 10 Fantasy Points in that span. This is kind of a play and pray start as Baldwin hasn’t really given us any reason to start him in a tough matchup.

Nov 23, 2014; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek (87) breaks the tackle of Tennessee Titans inside linebacker Wesley Woodyard (59) at Lincoln Financial Field. The Eagles won 43-24. Mandatory Credit: Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

TE: Brent Celek, at DAL ($4,700)

Chip Kelly is giving Mark Sanchez some really easy throws, as he is trying to use a lot of tight end help to help make the game easier on him. The tight end position has been terrible the last three weeks, however, Celek has 12 catches over that span. The Cowboys allow the third most Fantasy Points to opposing tight ends and you better believe that Chip Kelly knows that they aren’t great at stopping the tight end. I don’t like any of the top tight ends for today so for me it’s all about risk. So might as well take one, who has proven success, in a good matchup.

Nov 9, 2014; Detroit, MI, USA; Detroit Lions punter Sam Martin (6) holds the ball as kicker Matt Prater (5) kicks a field goal during the fourth quarter against the Miami Dolphins at Ford Field. Detroit won 20-16. Mandatory Credit: Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports

K: Matt Prater, v. CHI ($5,200)

The Bears allow the most Fantasy Points to opposing kickers. Weird stat I know, but they have been horrible against the kicker position and I can’t avoid it. I love this game for a couple a reasons, it’s a good matchup and it’s in a dome. Prater has a boot and you can bet that he’s smiling that he’s on the Lions and that the Broncos had to cut his replacement this week.

D: Seattle, at SF ($5,300)

San Francisco has no offense. I actually like a lot of the defenses but I think that this is the best one. The Niners offensive line to this point has pretty much been non-existent and even though they haven’t thrown interceptions, they have been losing a lot of fumbles. The Niners have lost 6 fumbles in the last four games. Expect for Seattle to take advantage of that.
