Philadelphia Eagles‘ wide receiver Jordan Matthews scored a nice touchdown as his team took an early 14-0 lead over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday during a full day of Thanksgiving NFL action.
Much has been made of the fact that rookie wide receiver Jordan Matthews has emerged as a key target ever since Mark Sanchez took over at quarterback for the injured Nick Foles.

Rather than any actual connection with Sanchez that was lacking with Foles, this probably comes down to the fact that Matthews is simply more talented than a guy like Riley Cooper. The Eagles might have just figured out that they will benefit from getting Matthews more involved than he had been previously, and that plan happens to be carried out each week by Sanchez.
Matthews showed his abilities on this touchdown on Thursday. Trying to help his team out in a key game at the top of the NFC East, Matthews caught a pass from Sanchez and ran it the rest of the way for a 27-yard touchdown.

What do you know – Chip Kelly and the Eagles have another weapon to get the ball to in space.
