Philadelphia Eagles‘ quarterback Mark Sanchez finished his team’s opening drive with a touchdown run in their key game against the Dallas Cowboys in the second game of a full day of Thanksgiving NFL action.

The Philadelphia Eagles have so many weapons on the offensive side of the ball. That is what sets up quarterback Mark Sanchez for success, and it is also what makes it fairly hilarious that he was the one to score a rushing touchdown on Thanksgiving.

See below for a real-life rushing touchdown from Sanchez.

The read-option is potentially a staple of head coach Chip Kelly’s system, though its usefulness is somewhat predictable this season with Nick Foles and Sanchez the two men who have been under center.

People often wonder what the already potent Philadelphia offense would look like with more of a running threat at quarterback. Maybe that would be intriguing, but in the meantime, it sure is entertaining to watch Sanchez lumbering for three or four yards at a time.

Kidding aside, however, Sanchez deserves credit for having a nose for the end zone here, all the while infuriating fantasy football owners nationwide who own the running backs and receivers on the Eagles.
