TCU defensive lineman Terrell Lathan made a pretty heads up play on Thursday night that resulted in six points for the Horned Frogs.

Things have gotten off to a start in Austin on Thanksgiving night between the TCU Horned Frogs and the Texas Longhorns, and of course this high-powered TCU team hit double digits on the scoreboard in the first quarter.
Except, the only thing is, their only score of the game thus far did not come from Trevone Boykin and the offense, rather the defense stepped up and did their thing when they had to. In particular, defensive lineman Terrell Lathan made some things happen.
With Texas having the ball and looking to get some rhythm on offense, Tyrone Swoopes fumbled the ball. From there, Lathan scooped it right up and took it 40 yards back to the house to further the TCU lead early in this one.

This is one aspect of this team that gets overlooked, and that’s the defense. While they’ve struggled at certain times throughout the season, the TCU defense has played pretty well overall as they’ve grabbed themselves a 9-1 record on the season.
Terrell Lathan’s scoop and score is just more proof of that.
