Wisconsin’s Sam Dekker was a little excited after his team got the win on Thursday, and his teammate paid the price for it.

The Wisconsin Badgers kept their huge string of momentum rolling on Thursday in the Bahamas as they were able to hold off a great effort from Georgetown in the semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. Naturally, Sam Dekker was excited and wanted to show it after the final buzzer sounded.
Unfortunately, though, one of his teammates was a little too close to the celebration.
After the Badgers were able to get the 68-65 win, Dekker just let all of his emotions loose on the court, and again, rightfully so. It was a big win. He flexed and then he slammed the ball off the court.
Well, you see, then the ball flew directly into the head of teammate Nigel Hayes, who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Okay, that’s the definition of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hayes never saw it coming. Dude just wanted to enjoy the win, like Dekker, but instead he’s going to probably have a headache the rest of the night.
Maybe Wisconsin, and Dekker in particular, could come up with some choreographed routine that maybe is a little safer to everyone on the court.
