Wisconsin and Minnesota will battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe on Saturday afternoon but there’s more on the line than one of the coolest rivalry trophies in college football as the winner will represent the Big Ten West in the Big Ten Championship Game against Ohio State.
In honor of rivalry week each team’s mascot got involved in the trash talk and had a war of words on twitter that should be good for a few laughs before the real battle begins Saturday at 2:30.
The best one yet.
Santa is real and he’s spectacular.
That’s how you win a war of words. Plus, winning 10 straight in the rivalry doesn’t hurt either having that chip in your pocket. Minnesota last beat Wisconsin in 2003, but if they do so on Saturday they’ll be in the Big Ten Championship Game, so no pressure.
