Keys to Victory

The Packers need to do what they often do and unleash Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers and Co. have been on fire recently and the Pats’ secondary (17th in passing yards allowed per game) isn’t a unit that should scare Green Bay from throwing the ball.Ā On the other side of the ball, the goal is clear:Ā slow down Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots’ offense is a different beast when Gronk has it rolling. Stopping Gronkowski is the key to stopping Tom Brady and the Pats offense.

The PatriotsĀ are obviously going to rely on Brady and the passing game. But New England has to made a commitment to run the ballĀ against a Packers rush defense that ranks 30th in rushing yards allowed per game. On the other side of the ball, the Pats’ top priority is making life tough for Jordy Nelson, Rodgers’ top weapon. The Packers’ only recent loss came when the New Orleans Saints keyed on Nelson and held him to 25 receiving yards.

Prediction

This should be an incredible game, one that goes back-and-forth. Ultimately, we (barely) lean towards Rodgers and the Packers. It’s simply extremely difficult to beat this team at Lambeau when its playing this well.
