The Alabama Crimson Tide are doing what they are supposed to do as the No. 1 team—finish drives. They’ve scored touchdowns on their first two Saturday.
Alabama is the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff rankings, so they wouldn’t appear to need a lot of help.

But that doesn’t mean Auburn isn’t giving it to them in the teams’ annual Iron Bowl clash.
The Tigers fumbled on their first play from scrimmage to set up an Alabama touchdown and then gave the Tide 30 yards in personal foul penalties on Alabama’s second possession to set up another score.
Senior quarterback Blake Sims connected with junior wide receiver Amari Cooper on a 17-yard touchdown pass with 6:17 remaining in the first quarter of the Iron Bowl.
The drive covered 80 yards in just five plays, helped by a personal foul penalty against Auburn on a 16-yard completion from Sims to Cooper to start the drive and nudged along further by a face mask penalty on a 1-yard run by senior running back Jalston Fowler.
Auburn has also scored twice, but the Tigers have settled for two field goals and were trailing 14-6 at the end of the first quarter at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
