Michigan has regressed over the last three years under Brady Hoke since he won 11 games and the Sugar Bowl in his first season four years ago, but in the time since he has won eight, seven and five games, respectively, after bottoming out with a 5-7 record and his second straight 3-5 record in the Big Ten after losing to rival Ohio State.
Despite all of this, Hoke expects to be back on the sidelines in the Big House next year.

Even in the toughest of times his players never lost faith in Hoke as Devin Gardner told the media afterward.

Hoke is a good guy and a smart one at that, despite what you may think of his on-field ability, he is smart enough to read the writing on the wall and recognize he’s time has come.
I mean, what else is he going to say when asked if he expects to be back? “No, I was terrible, I’m surprised I wasn’t fired already.”
An announcement from Michigan athletic director Jim Hackett could come as soon as Sunday with him relieving Hoke of his duties and speculation mounting about who his replacement will be.
