The Game had a perfect example of sportsmanship in today’s rivalry game between Ohio State and Michigan in the aftermath after Buckeyes quarterback J.T. Barrett suffered a devastating looking right leg injury and needed to be carted off.

As the Heisman candidate laid on the turf at Ohio Stadium we saw a total class move by Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner who knelt down beside his opponent in a touching gesture that put aside the bitter feelings the two programs have for each other.

Ohio State won the game, but lost Barrett for an indefinite amount of time as he had an air cast on his right leg as he was carted off, but the rivalry had one of its lasting images with Gardner consoling Barrett.

Michigan lost the game to their rivals in what could be the last game for head coach Brady Hoke and certainly was the last game for senior quarterback Devin Gardner as the Wolverines failed to get to six wins for bowl-eligibility, but Gardner can hold his head high after the way he conducted himself on the field today.
