Josh Reddick Is Miffed By Josh Donaldson Trade
By Hayden Kane
The Oakland A’s traded third baseman Josh Donaldson on Friday in the biggest move of the MLB off-season thus far. His former teammate Josh Reddick is confused by that decision.
The Oakland A’s shocked the world by trading Josh Donaldson to the Toronto Blue Jays for Brett Lawrie and three prospects on Friday. Yes, we should know better at this point than to be surprised by Billy Beane and his willingness to trade star players, but it was still nearly impossible to see this one coming.

If we should know better, then the players on the actual team should be conditioned for this type of news, right? If you play for the A’s, it seems like you should operate with the understanding that any player could be traded at any moment. That is the brilliance, or the madness, of Billy Beane as general manager.
It would appear that, even with such an understanding, A’s outfielder Josh Reddick does not understand why this trade happened.
Not just your best player the last two years. The best player in the American League not named Mike Trout for the last two years.
Getting three prospects is a big return in a trade, but one can hardly blame Reddick for being miffed by this Josh Donaldson trade.
