A new Game of Thrones video game, based on a new character within George RR Martin’s world, will be released on December 2.
For those who can’t wait until spring for the newest Game of Thrones season on HBO or for those who can’t wait until the end of the century for the next Song of Ice and Fire book in the series, we have a new video game in the growing franchise that should sate fans looking for some new content within Westeros.

Telltale Games is set to release the first of six episodic video games based on the events of the story, as seen in HBO’s Game of Thrones. Don’t fret, book fans, as this appears to be pretty in line with the books as well, but again, it has HBO’s name on it so Tyrion will have Peter Dinklage’s likeness, and so on. Check out the teaser trailer below.
There’s little enough to see from that, but the variation of the storyline is probably the most interesting aspect. Instead of following a character you know, the video game will follow an obscurity from A Feast For Crows. House Forrester hardly registers even for die hard fans, which makes it perfect to produce a main character caught in the middle of the War of the Five Kings.
You’ll find House Forrester in Ironrath, far to the north and staunchly loyal to House Stark. However, it’s Cersei’s voice we hear in the trailer, which leaves some mystery as to our character’s objectives.
We’ll know more in December when the game is released, but for now expect to get your Thrones on much sooner than expected.
