Ray Rice is now a free agent, which NFL team should sign him?

Ray Rice won the appeal of his suspension on Friday and a judge ruled he could return to football immediately. That means the 27-year-old running back is a free agent and is eligible to sign with any NFL team.

Putting aside the embarrassment to the league that the Rice fiasco has been, there is a chance he still carries some value as a football player. I’m not sure any team will be willing to cross commissioner Roger Goodell by signing Rice, but it is worth examining the possibility. After all, winning games is the most important thing to NFL franchises and if a team thinks Rice can help, he’ll be signed.

Rice is a three-time Pro Bowler and is just two years removed from his last selection in 2012, that was the same year he helped lead the Baltimore Ravens to a win in Super Bowl XLVII. I don’t know what he has left in the tank, but teams are going to at least give him consideration. If Michael Vick could make a comeback, Rice could certainly return to the league.

Here’s a look at the teams who might be able to use Rice as we head towards the playoffs.
