Auburn jumped ahead of Alabama with 13 unanswered points, but T.J. Yeldon’s second touchdown put the Tide back on top late in the first half.
The Auburn Tigers forged a 16-14 lead over the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Iron Bowl Saturday night, but T.J. Yeldon’s second touchdown run of the night gave Alabama the lead back late in the first half.
Alabama drove 58 yards in seven plays, with much of the work being done by quarterback Blake Sims, who was 4-for-5 for 53 yards on the drive. But on fourth-and-goal from the Auburn 1, Yeldon found a seam and burst into the end zone to put the Tide back on top 21-16.
The two touchdowns for Yeldon give him four in three career Iron Bowl meetings with Auburn.

The junior had 38 yards on eight carries with a score in Alabama’s 49-0 win over the Tigers in 2012 and rushed for 141 yards on 26 carries with a touchdown in last season’s 34-28 Auburn win.
After back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons as a freshman and a sophomore, Yeldon has been slowed by some nagging injuries this season.
He didn’t play in last week’s win over Western Carolina and came into Saturday’s game with 758 yards and six touchdowns on 151 carries this season.
