UNLV Football Coach Bobby Hauck Resigns
By Cory Buck

Head coach of the UNLV football program, Bobby Hauck, has resigned from his post after another disastrous season.
It turns out Bobby Hauck was a one-hit wonder after all. One year removed from a controversial contract extension that rewarded Hauck for one winning season after three piddling campaigns, Hauck and UNLV are set for an amicable parting of ways.

“Bobby Hauck submitted his resignation, effective Monday, and I have accepted it,” UNLV director of athletics Tina Kunzer-Murphy said in a statement, per College Football Talk.
"“No one has worked harder in trying to achieve consistent success with our football program than Coach Hauck and we thank him for his dedication and leadership. He and his staff have worked tirelessly in trying to achieve the results we all want to see but it unfortunately has not happened. We wish Bobby and his family the very best in their future endeavors.”"
The UNLV Rebels finished 7-6 in 2013, giving the team its first winning record in roughly forever. That was enough for the administration to add a year to Hauck’s contract and hold on their hand with the coach. A 2-10 record in 2014, however, did nothing to reassure fans and administrators alike that Hauck was ultimately the right guy.
“We were given an opportunity to get it done here at UNLV and we simply did not win enough games,” Hauck said. “It’s my responsibility to push the program forward and I wish we would have produced better results.”
