Rookie wide receiver Mike Evans on Sunday just absolutely obliterated Terence Newman in the Bucs’ loss to the Bengals.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost on Sunday to the Cincinnati Bengals, albeit in controversial fashion, but there is one play from that game that everyone will remember, thanks to Bucs rookie wideout Mike Evans.

You see, sometimes there is a problem with getting young wide receivers to grasp the concept of just how important blocking downfield is. They wanna be making the flashy plays that’s going to garner themselves some attention, not blocking for someone else so they can get all the glory.

Well, we found out on Sunday that Mike Evans does not have a problem with this whatsoever.

On one play where he was tasked to block instead of getting the ball, Evans just went full-on beast mode on veteran Terence Newman, basically choke slamming him to the ground when Newman made the mistake of leaving his feet.

That is just unfair on so many levels it’s insane. Forget the fact that he’s a rookie, Mike Evans is unfair period.

This young man is going to cause a lot of problems for a lot of teams in the future, whether he has the ball in his hands or not.
