Editor’s note: This post will take a look at the top Fantasy Football Week 13 scoring leaders and top performers from the early games.

More from Fantasy Football

On a front-loaded Sunday schedule, the NFL had nine games on tap in the 1:00 window leaving just four games to wrap up your fantasy football victory.  While there were some huge surprises in the early games, some players came up huge for their fantasy owners and got them the all-important week 13 win. Here are the week 13 scoring leaders from the nine 1:00 starts on Sunday:

Ryan Fitzpatrick-QB-Houston Texans

In an unexpected huge game, Fitz through for a career-high six touchdowns while piling up 358 yards against the Titans as the Texans romped to a 45-21 win.  Fitzpatrick had been replaced by Ryan Mallett, but Fitzpatrick is back under center for the rest of the season with Mallett’s injury. This would seem to be the definition of an “outlier,” but one that came at a great time for any owner who was desperate enough to start him.

DeAndre Hopkins-WR-Houston Texnas

Hopkins was the chief beneficiary of Fitzpatrick’s huge day catching nine passes for 238 yards and a pair of touchdowns.  Hopkins has shown he has WR1 talent, and he could be a top receiver next year if he gets solid QB play.

Tre Mason-RB-St. Louis Rams

Mason led the Rams to a huge win against the Raiders, as they cruised to a 52-0 win.  Mason found the end zone three times on the day totaling 117 yards and two rushing touchdowns on his 14 carries and adding 47 yards and a third touchdown on his three catches.

Andrew Luck-QB-Indianapolis Colts

Luck and the Colts rolled over the Redskins 49-27.  Although he did throw one interception, Luck still finished with a good stat line piling up 370 yards to go with his five passing TDs.

Drew Brees-QB-New Orleans Saints

Brees led the Saints to a huge road win throwing for 257 yards and five touchdowns on 19-27 passing.  Brees avoided turnovers this week and kept the Saints in the playoff race while dealing the Steelers a tough loss.

Le’Veon Bell-RB-Pittsburgh Steelers

Bell piled up 159 yards on his eight catches and added 95 more yards on his 21 carries.  Bell found the end zone on one of those carries as well in the Steelers 35-32 loss to the Saints.

St. Louis Rams D/ST

The Rams D was my top pickup for this week and they delivered big time against the Raiders getting the shutout while picking off Oakland QB’s three times while sacking them six times.  The Rams  recovered a pair of fumbles as well and Trumaine Johnson scored the final Rams’ TD of the day on a 43-yard interception return.

Donte Moncrief-WR-Indianapolis Colts

Moncrief only caught three passes on Sunday against Washington, but he still is among the week 13 scoring leaders since he took those three catches for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Coby Fleener-TE-Indianapolis Colts

Fleener could have had an even bigger game if he had avoided drops, but he still finished with 127 yards on four catches and a pair of touchdowns.

Keenan Allen-WR-San Diego Chargers

Another player with multiple TD receptions on the day, Allen helped the Chargers edge the Ravens finishing with 11 catches for 121 yards and his pair of touchdowns.

Kenny Stills-WR-New Orleans Saints

Stills had the second-most receiving yards so far this week catching five passes for 162 yards.  He would have been higher on this list, but he only found the end zone once this week. He continues to emerge as a nice option in the Saints passing attack.
