The University of Nebraska fired football coach Bo Pelini on Sunday morning and his players are not taking the news well … at all.
In the wake of Bo Pelini’s firing at Nebraska, some of his players are taking to social media to vent their displeasure with the decision.

Pelini was fired Sunday morning after going 66-27 in seven seasons at the helm of the Huskers. He was also 1-0 as interim coach in 2003 after the firing of Frank Solich, leading Nebraska to a win in the Alamo Bowl.
The players were aiming most of their anger at athletic director Shawn Eichorst and chancellor Harvey Perlman.
Junior left tackle Matt Finnin, in particular, was angry about the decision. Some of the tweets have been deleted, but here is a screen shot (although the language is definitely NSFW).

Offensive lineman Sam Hahn also weighed in.
So the fate of our program lies in the hands of a man who is only here until the Wisconsin AD job opens up. This should turn out well

Cornerback Josh Mitchell weighed in on how the firing would hurt recruiting and also took issue with the way the players were told of the decision.
Bout to lose a lot of recruits that were coming here to play for coach Bo

Current players weren’t the only ones concerned about things in Lincoln. Former Nebraska star Ndamukong Suh also said there were deeper problems at the school.
The leadership issues at the University of Nebraska extend above the Head Football Coach's office.

Nebraska is 9-3 this season after a come-from-behind overtime win at Iowa on Friday. The Huskers’ losses this season were 27-22 at Michigan State on Oct. 4, 59-24 at Wisconsin on Nov. 15 and a 28-24 loss at home to Minnesota on Nov. 22.
Nebraska won at least nine games in every full season under Pelini, but never won more than 10.
