Paul Finebaum of the SEC Network hosted a live show for callers during the Iron Bowl on Saturday night. The very first caller into the show wanted to discuss Fordham Rams college football.

To be fair, this gentleman was calling from the state of Alabama. Presumably he was watching the Alabama Crimson Tide against the Auburn Tigers in the latest installment of the Iron Bowl, a 55-44 victory in favor of Alabama. That’s just not what he wanted to talk about when he called into Paul Finebaum’s live show during the game.

Nope. This guy wanted to talk about Fordham (go Rams!).

All Finebaum and company could do was laugh, jokingly ask for each other’s thoughts on Fordham, and then move on to something else. The thing is, they could have thrown this question out to their callers and witnessed magic as they spun it into a speech about Auburn or Alabama football.

That is a gift of those fan bases, especially during Iron Bowl week. They can make anything about Auburn vs Alabama.

For all of the craziness that Paul Finebaum handles on a daily basis, he probably thought he was ready for anything on a call-in show that was taking place during the actual Iron Bowl. He probably thought wrong, realizing such the moment this caller said “Go Fordham. Go Rams. Go Bronx.”

This had to be a new one.
