Guard Conner Frankamp has decided to stay close to home, announcing Monday he will transfer from Kansas to Wichita State.
Sophomore guard Conner Frankamp, lost in the shuffle with an influx of incoming blue-chip freshmen at Kansas, announced Monday he will transfer to Wichita State.
According to the Wichita Eagle, Frankamp also considered Colorado and Creighton.
"“I think Coach (Gregg) Marshall can improve my game quite a bit,” Frankamp said. “I’ve been very impressed with how Ron (Baker) and Fred (VanVleet) have developed as players. I think they have a good chance to get to the (NBA).”"
Frankamp, a Wichita, Kan., native, is the career scoring leader in the Wichita’s City League.
