Injured NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson isn’t expected to practice this week, but should play on Sunday for Washington.
DeSean Jackson isn’t going to let a lower-leg injury keep him off of the field on Sunday. Whether the injury will keep him off of the practice field is a completely different matter.

Jackson was the victim of an obvious cheep shot from Indianapolis Colts defensive back Mike Adams on Sunday. Jackson caught a pass and stepped out of bounds. Adams then used a bump from running back Alfred Morris as an excuse to dive at Jackson’s knee.

Jackson was able to come back into the game later and catch a 42-yard touchdown, before being pulled from the game once again. Jackson’s X-rays were negative, and the injury is being described as a fibula contusion.
Even though he missed an entire quarter’s worth of snaps, Jackson had a good game statistically on Sunday. He finished with five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown.
If Jackson can’t play, it would be a huge loss for Washington. Jackson leads the team in almost every major receiving category. Jackson currently has 858 receiving yards on the year despite mostly-awful quarterback play in Washington this season.
Seven different Washington players left the game on Sunday with injuries, including Jackson.
