Gerald Green Off The Backboard To Himself (Video)

Phoenix Suns guard Gerald Green made a beautiful play off the backboard and into a slam drunk in their game against the Orlando Magic.
Lost in the shuffle of another NFL Sunday was an amazing play during NBA action between the Phoenix Suns’ home loss to the Orlando Magic. Gerald Green passed the ball to himself with an assist from the backboard, and slammed it home in the second quarter of their tilt, prompting instant buzz.

Well that’s one way to avoid big man waiting beneath the bucket. Green slides between defenders and looks smooth as glass as he lifts that ball up over the defender, then jumps up to go finish his mess. As rangy and short as Green looked out there, it was even more impressive to see him play like a little man when he needed a big man’s bucket.
The play was one of many required in the tight finish between these two teams. Orlando held off Phoenix at the end with two free throws with just a second remaining after one of Green’s three-pointers brought the Suns within one.
The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Magic and set the Suns back to a 10-8 record in the highly competitive Western Conference.
