San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh is not thinking about his job security, despite speculation he could be fired after this season.
The San Francisco 49ers’ 2014 season has been constantly clouded with rumors about coach Jim Harbaugh’s job security… or lack thereof.

However, Harbaugh is making it clear that he’s not worried about what could happen after this season.
From ESPN:
"“I really, I don’t worry about my future,” he said Monday in his weekly media conference. “I haven’t participated in any of that speculation. I just, I think I have a recessive gene for worrying about my own future.”"
The talk of Harbaugh being let go heated up on Thursday after the Seattle Seahawks manhandled San Francisco 19-3 and Niners CEO Jed York tweeted an apology to fans after the game, saying the team’s performance “wasn’t unacceptable.”
Harbaugh refused to say Monday whether or not he had a discussion with York about the tweet.
"“To me, that’s not significant,” said Harbaugh, who was not wearing his customary 49ers cap. “What’s significant is we move on without excuse and get it right. Make it right. That’s our jobs.”"
While Harbaugh is saying he’s not thinking about his future and that York’s tweet is insignificant, the fact of the matter is there is too much smoke here for his job not to be in serious question.
A Super Bowl run might be the only thing that can save Harbaugh. Unfortunately for him, the 49ers’ performance Thursday doesn’t suggest a championship run is very likely.
