Michigan Wolverine fans have already seen one of the two men responsible for the the erosion of the football program get fired, and the second — Brady Hoke — could go on Tuesday.

The Michigan Wolverines have already gotten rid of Athletic Director Dave Brandon but the purging may not have ended there. Many believed that head coach Brady Hoke was a dead man walking this year and deserved to be fired in the middle of the season.

That didn’t happen though, as Hoke has coached out the Wolverines abysmal 2014 season and remains head coach of the team — for now. His fate still hangs in the balance and a decision on whether or not he’s going to return in 2015 is expected tomorrow.

According to Michigan reporter Sam Webb, AD Jim Hackett — who replaced Dave Brandon — is expected to meet with Hoke tomorrow afternoon with the announcement of what the talked about coming shortly thereafter.

What this basically means is that Hoke is going to be informed of his firing tomorrow and then announce it in an exit press conference at 3pm ET. The chances that Hoke returns are low, as while it’s expensive to buy him out it’s something the team could view as cost effective in terms of the value of the program moving forward.

Candidates like Jim Harbaugh, Jon Gruden and even Mike Shanahan are all out there for the taking, which means Michigan getting rid of Hoke sooner rather than later is something everyone rooting for the team wants to see happen.
