Bortles admitted one embarrassing fact about the start of his NFL career, and that embarrassing fact is that he tried to talk to his coach through the helmet transmitter.
For those who are confused as to why that would be embarrassing, it is due to the fact that the helmet transmitters are only one way for the quarterback to hear and he cannot talk back to his coaches.
Blake Bortles said that the first few times the coach told him the play call in his helmet, he tried to talk back to the coach.

Rookies have an adjustment period when they first step onto an NFL field, but most don’t come out and share their embarrassing moments. There is no question that Bortles has learned from his mistake and won’t repeat it again.
All of that being said, it’s always fun to hear about the difficulties of some players and how they had to adjust to the NFL game. Bortles has the personality to be a very good NFL quarterback, but he’ll have to figure out the physical and mental aspects of the game before he can get his career on track.
There are plenty of reasons for Jaguars fans to be excited about the future, and Bortles is one of them.
