Ex-Badgers cornerback Jack Ikegwuonu and his twin-brother William Ikegwuonu have been arrested for allegedly committing five armed robberies in a two-week span in November, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
"“The investigation indicates much of the money taken during these crimes was being used to purchase heroin,” Madison police spokesman Joel DeSpain said in a news release. In all of the robberies, the search warrant states, the suspect brandished a silver revolver, the suspect description was similar and all occurred at a similar time of day.Police were able to find the Dodge Durango SUV allegedly used in the robberies by attaching a GPS device to the vehicle a day before the Middleton holdup."
The two confessed to all five robberies to police after being arrested for robbing Klinke Cleaners.
Jack had multiple problems with the law prior to this latest incident. He was arrested for residential burglary and criminal trespassing in 2006. He also was charged for retail theft in 2011 and arrested in 2012 for having drug paraphernalia in his car.
Jack played for Wisconsin from 2005-2007. The Philadelphia Eagles selected him in the fourth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He remained with the team until 2009.
