Cleveland.com reported Monday that James had stopped doing the routine last week as the Cavaliers went on a three-game winning streak.
LeBron addressed the matter Tuesday, according to Cleveland.com.
"“I don’t even know where that came from,” James said Tuesday, following the Cavaliers’ morning shootaround. They play the Milwaukee Bucks tonight at The Q. “It’s just, I don’t know, it’s just another story.”When it was pointed out to James that he hadn’t done the chalk toss for at least the past two games, he responded “cool,” smiling and waving his hand as he ended his session with reporters."
So, it appears the chalk toss will be back, but James gave no clarity on when that will be or why he stopped doing it in the first place.
LeBron became famous for the pre-game routine during his first stint with the Cavaliers. However, James stopped doing it in the middle of his tenure with the Miami Heat and never brought it back until his first game back with Cleveland.
Prior to that contest, LeBron held a Twitter poll asking fans if he should do the toss.
