Phoenix Suns’ Home, US Airways Center, To Change Name

On Tuesday, it was announced that the US Airways Center will be receiving a name change. The venue is currently home of the Phoenix Suns of the NBA and the WNBA‘s Phoenix Mercury.
For the third time in 22 years, the home of the Phoenix Suns will be receiving a change in venue name.

The news was announced on Tuesday.
The US Airways Center, which is also home to the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers for you Arena Football League fans, will now be known as Talking Stick Resort Arena.
Previously, the arena was known as America West Arena.
The US Airways Center name change was forced when the airline merged with American Airlines. For eight years, the US Airways Center was the name of the arena, but now fans will have to get used to discussing Talking Stick Resort Arena.
It is not the biggest change, but an important one.
