If Rex Ryan is fired by the New York Jets like many believe he will be, we could see the colorful, outspoken coach quickly earning a multi-million TV deal.
Rex Ryan has made quite a name for himself as the outspoken head coach of the New York Jets, but all signs point to the two sides parting ways after another dreadful season.

It would surprise no one if Ryan is fired, but what could come as a surprise is it may not take the head coach very long to resurface.
Don’t expect to see Rex Ryan back on the sidelines, however, because there is a really good chance he could end up on television. After all, how could you pass up a multi-million deal for a much less stressful job?
According to Richard Deitsch of SI.com, Ryan previously had a multi-million dollar TV deal on the table and there is a good chance that could be there again if the two sides part ways in the offseason..
“He pretty much has everything TV networks would look for. He has personality, he’s not shy about his opinions, and he’s a colorful character,” ESPN senior coordinating producer Seth Markman told Deitsch.
“I think he would be successful whether it is in studio or doing games. When I close my eyes and listen to him I hear a little bit of John Madden in him. There is going to be a lot of interest in Rex if that is what he wants to do.”
Whether Ryan would be willing to walk away from coaching so quickly remains to be seen, but you would have to imagine he would strongly consider such a significant deal to try something new.
